Villa Lapa, named for the local majestic red parrot, is one of our five bedroom all-inclusive villas. This villa offers a perfect setting for your Costa Rican vacation, overlooking the Bay of Papagaya and the Pacific Ocean.

Of Villa Lapa's five air-conditioned bedrooms, four are master suites with high ceilings, king size beds, feather-bed mattress covers, and large private baths. Each has an spectacular ocean view with French doors opening onto the pool veranda. The fifth bedroom features two double beds and picture window and balcony for a full ocean view.

Your private infinity edge pool, with a peaceful waterfall, and patio provide the ideal spot for taking in the panoramic view of the ocean and breathtaking sunsets. The covered patio includes an outdoor dining area and plenty of room for enjoying the warm days and star-filled evenings.

The elegantly furnished interiors feature a large television, indoor/outdoor stereo, and two separate air-conditioned living areas.

You won’t lift a finger during your stay at Villa Lapa. Our expertly trained and friendly staff is here to accommodate your every need. Your chef, housekeeper, and bartender arrive early each morning to serve breakfast when you are ready for it. A delicious lunch and dinner follow, along with drinks and snacks served poolside each afternoon. All the while, your housekeeper focuses her attention on the villa and your laundry needs.

All meals at Villa Lapa are served on the terrace outside overlooking the bay under the cover of the balcony. The staff serves the meals at Villa Lapa at a relaxed pace that encourages conversation. Villa Lapa was built by local workmen and artisans. Most of the work including the wonderful woodwork was done by hand and overseen by our construction foreman, Carlos. The furniture was made in Sarchi near San Jose by Bernardo. His handcrafted decorations on the chairs are works of art. He and a cousin worked together to make our lamps using a combination of iron and wood to match the furniture and fixtures. All of the iron light fixtures were crafted by hand. Sarchi is world reknowned for its handmade wooden furniture.

Wall hangings were produced by local artists. They represent scenes of the countryside and Liberia, the closest large town. The other decorations were all purchased regionally and are handmade. This region of Costa Rica is famous for its beautiful pottery.
